OM Life Compass Website Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies only to the website at omlifecompass.com, including the beta application form and the contact form. It does not apply to the OM Life Compass application, which has its own Beta Privacy Policy.


1. ABOUT THIS POLICY

1.1 OM Life Compass LLC (“OM Life Compass,” “we,” “us”) operates the website at omlifecompass.com (the “Website”). This Policy explains what personal information the Website collects, why, who receives it, how long it is kept and what choices you have.

1.2 OM Life Compass determines the purposes and means of processing personal information collected through the Website. Where privacy law uses the term, OM Life Compass is the controller of that information.

1.3 Information you enter inside the OM Life Compass application is governed by the application’s Beta Privacy Policy, not by this Policy. Applying for the beta through the Website does not create an application account.


2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
 
2.1 Beta application form. When you apply for the beta, we collect your first name, last name and email address. All three are required to apply.
 
2.2 Contact form. When you send a message through the contact form, we collect your name, your email address and the content of your message. These are required to send a message.
 
2.3 Email you send us directly. If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. What you include is your choice.
 
2.4 Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, we automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the referring page, the date and time of your visit, and information stored in cookies or similar technologies. Section 5 explains cookies and your choices.
 
2.5 The Website does not ask for birth details, personal observations or any information about your health, beliefs or inner experience. Please do not include such information in a form or message.
 
2.6 We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
 
3.1 Beta applications. We use the details from the beta application form to review applications and to contact applicants about beta participation, selection and access.
 
3.2 Questions and requests. We use contact form details and the emails you send us to respond to your questions and requests.
 
3.3 Updates. Where you have agreed to receive them, we use your name and email address to send updates about the beta and the launch of OM Life Compass.
 
3.4 Operating the Website. We use automatically collected information to operate, secure and maintain the Website, and to prevent misuse.
 
3.5 Website usage. Where analytics are enabled, we use automatically collected information to understand, in aggregate, how the Website is used.
 
3.6 Legal obligations. We may use any of the information above, as necessary, to comply with legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
 
3.7 We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for targeted advertising and do not share it with advertisers.
 
3.8 Submitting a beta application does not guarantee a place in the beta.

• Consent, for beta and launch updates and for non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.

• Steps you ask us to take, for reviewing your beta application and responding to your messages.

• Legitimate interests, for operating and securing the Website, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

• Legal obligation, where processing is required by law.
   

5. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

5.1 The Website uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function and remain secure. These cannot be switched off.

5.2 Analytics or other non-essential cookies are used only after you agree through the cookie banner. You may change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the Website footer, or by adjusting your browser settings.

6. WHO RECEIVES INFORMATION
 
6.1 We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the Website, and only for that purpose.
 
6.2 Wix.com. Wix.com hosts the Website and provides its forms and cookie banner. It also stores the information submitted through those forms.
 
6.3 Email service provider. Our email service provider sends confirmation emails and beta updates on our behalf. 
 
6.4 We may also disclose information where required by law, in response to a valid legal request, to protect the security of the Website or the safety of any person, or to establish or defend legal claims.
 
6.5 If OM Life Compass is reorganized, merged or sold, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

7. RETENTION
 
7.1 Beta application details. We keep beta application details until the beta ends, or until you ask us to remove them, whichever is earlier. If you join the beta, your participation is then governed by the application’s Beta Privacy Policy.
 
7.2 Contact messages. We keep contact messages until your request is resolved, plus a reasonable period for follow-up, and then delete them.
 
7.3 Update list membership. We keep you on the update list until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
 
7.4 Information collected automatically. Automatically collected information is kept for the periods set by our hosting and analytics providers.

8. YOUR RIGHTS

8.1 Depending on the laws of the place where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, to object to or restrict certain processing, to receive a copy of your information, and to complain to a privacy or data protection authority. We will honor these rights as required by the privacy laws that apply to you.

8.2 To exercise a right, email connect@omlifecompass.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

8.3 You may unsubscribe from updates at any time through the link in any update email.

8.4 We will not treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.

9. SECURITY AND CHILDREN

9.1 We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, and rely on the security measures of our service providers. No website is free of risk, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9.2 The Website and the OM Life Compass beta are intended for people aged 18 or older. If you believe someone under 18 has submitted information, contact connect@omlifecompass.com and we will delete it.

10. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

10.1 OM Life Compass is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Information you submit from another country may therefore be transferred outside it. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we rely on our providers’ contractual and technical arrangements.

11.1 We may update this Policy. The current version and its effective date will always appear on this page. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will notify you by email where we have your address.
